Thiscommandenablesbroadcastforwardingandspecifieswhichprotocolsandportswillbe
forwarded.TheIPforwardprotocolisoneoftwocommandsusedforUDPbroadcastforwarding.
Alsorefertothe
ip helper-addresscommand,whichspecifiesthenewdestination.
Ifacertainserviceexistsinsidethenode,andthereisnoneedtoforwardtherequesttoremote
networks,thenoformofthiscommandshouldbeusedtodisabletheforwardingforthespecific
port.Suchrequestswillnotbeautomaticallyblockedfrom
beingforwarded,justbecauseaservice
forthemexistsinthenode.

Note: The XSR supports a maximum of 50 IP helper addresses per port and 50 IP forward ports
with (64 MBytes of memory installed.
