Field Descriptions
Refer to Table 7-5 for a functional description of each screen field.
7.7 VLAN PORT CONFIGURATION SCREEN
When to Use
To see and/or make changes to the port parameters affecting
• the Port VLAN Identification (PVID) to reassign the port to a different PVID,
• the acceptable frame type that the port will transmit or receive frames of VLANs other than the
static VLANs created on the switch,
• the ingress filtering on the port, which can be enabled or disabled to filter out (drop) frames that
are not on the switch Egress list, or
• the GARP VLAN Registration Protocol (GVRP) status, which can be enabled or disabled.
How to Access
Use the arrow keys to highlight the VLAN PORT CONFIGURATION menu item on the 802.1Q
Configuration Menu screen and press ENTER. The VLAN Port Configuration screen, Figure 7-7,
displays.
