Create a Radio Profile and Map the Service Profile to It
Tocreatearadioprofileandmapaserviceprofiletothatprofile:
1. SelecttheConfigurationtoolbaroption.
2. IntheOrganizerpanel,clicktheplussignnexttotheRoamAboutSwitch.
3. ClicktheplussignnexttoWireless.
4. SelectRadioProfiles.
5. IntheTaskListpanelunderCreate,selectRadioProfile.
6. In
theNamebox,typethenameoftheradioprofile(1 to 16characters,withnospacesortabs).
7. ClickNext.ClickNextagain.
8. Tomaptheradioprofiletoaserviceprofile,selecttheserviceprofileintheAvailableService
ProfileslistandclickAdd.
9. ClickFinish.
Create Your DAPs
YouneedtocreateaDistributedAP(DAP)inyournetworkplaninRASM.ADAPisanaccess
pointconnectedtotheRoamAboutSwitchindirectlythroughotherLayer2orLayer3wired
networkingdevices.
TocreateaDAPinRASM:
1. AccesstheCreateDistributedAPwizard:
a. SelecttheConfigurationtoolbar
option.
b. IntheOrganizerpanel,clicktheplussignnexttotheRoamAboutSwitch.
c. ClicktheplussignnexttoWireless.
d. SelectAccessPoints.
e. IntheTaskListpanel,selectDistributedAP.
2. IntheNamebox,typeaname(1 to 16alphanumericcharacters,withnospacesortabs).
3. IntheDAPNumberbox,
specifytheconnectionnumberfortheRoamAboutSwitch’s
connectiontothisAP.TherangeofvalidconnectionnumbersdependsontheRoamAbout
Switchmodel.
4. IntheSerialNumberbox,typetheserialnumberoftheAP.
5. IntheFingerprintbox,typethe16‐digithexadecimalnumberoftheAP’sencryption
fingerprint.
Useeitherofthefollowingformats:
• 11:22:33:44:55:66:77:88:99:aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff:00
