Set the Scale
Setthescaleonyourfloorplantobetterdefinethedistancebetweenobjectsinyournetwork.
Tosetthescale:
1. DisplaythefloorplanintheContentpanel.
2. Clicktherulericon onthetoolbar.
a. Drawalineonthefloorplanoveranobjectwhoselengthyouknow;forexample,
a3‐foot
door.
b. Entertheactuallengthoftheobjectinthepop‐upbox.
c. ClickOK.
Clean Layout
RASMcansimplifyanimportedCADdrawingbyremovingunnecessaryobjectsfromeachlayer.
Drawingcleanupeliminatesunneededobjects,lines,andtext.
Notethefollowing:
•DrawingcleanupdoesnotapplytoGIForJPEGdrawings.
•Drawingcleanupdoesnotchangeobjectsthataregrouped.
•Iftwoobjectsthatwouldnormallybecleaned
(suchastwoparallellinesclosetogether)exist
ondifferentlayers,thenneitherobjectisremoved.

Tocleanupadrawing:
1. DisplaythefloorplanintheContentpanel.
2. IntheTaskListpanel,
underRFPlanning,clickCleanLayout.TheFloorPlanCleanUp
wizardappears.
Selecttheitemsyouwouldliketoremovefromthefloorplan.Selectthelayersyouwantto
affect.
Note: Zooming in the object makes it easier to set the scale.
